Early Communication
Support (0-2yrs)
Communication is one of the most beautiful things to watch unfold in the early years. From early sounds and gestures through to first words and conversations, it brings together listening, eye contact, babble, gestures, turn-taking and shared attention, all developing and layering as they grow.
You don't need a specific concern to reach out. Many families simply want guidance and tips to support their child's communication.
We provide support for:
Limited or absent vocalising and babbling
Slow or delayed first words and late talkers
Limited pointing, waving or gesturing
Limited eye contact or shared attention
Difficulty imitating sounds, faces or actions
Inconsistent response to their name
Limited understanding of words and instructions
Frustration and/or big feelings linked to not being understood
Communication alongside a developmental difference or medical journey.
The first two years build the foundation of communication. Our role is to help you notice what your child is already telling you, and feel confident as their first communication partner.
This is where we focus our work because small, well-placed support now shapes how children learn, connect and feel understood for years to come. For some families, support is brief. For others, it's the beginning of a longer, more complex journey. In these earliest years, our role is the same: the right tools at the right time, quietly building the skills you and your child will carry into the rest of your lives.
