Hi I’m Stef,

Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist, and mum of two little girls.

For nearly 20 years I've worked alongside families in hospitals and community health settings across Australia, the UK and the UAE, supporting babies, toddlers and young children with feeding and communication.

My work has spanned the everyday from breastfeeding, starting solids, first words, through to more medically complex feeding, including premature and neonatal special care nursery support, tube feeding, and tracheostomy management. But more than any of my clinical experience, I know what it feels like to worry about your child. In those moments, you don't need more pressure or another opinion. You need clear, grounded guidance from someone who can hold both the clinical and the human side at once.

You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Many of the families I meet are already carrying too much information, too many opinions, and too much pressure. My role is to help you slow things down, make sense of what's happening, and feel grounded and supported in the steps that come next.

Why Chatter & Chomp?

Chatter & Chomp grew out of a burning desire; to create a calmer, more considered space for families in the early years of feeding and communication.

Chatter for early communication.
Chomp for feeding.

Two of the most fundamental parts of your child's first years — and two of the most common sources of worry.

Alongside one-on-one support, my hope is for Chatter & Chomp to grow into a community through workshops, group sessions and shared conversations where families can learn, connect, and feel reassured alongside others navigating similar experiences.

This is the kind of speech pathology I always wished families had — so I built it.

A different way of working

After many years working inside hospital systems, I've built this practice into something more aligned with how I believe families are best supported; intentional and grounded in real life.

That means working with fewer families at a time, more time with each, and the flexibility to meet you where you are, whether that is in my clinic, at your home, or over a screen.

Becoming a mum has deepened all of this. Like the families I support, I know family life can feel beautiful, messy, exhausting and joyful. Sometimes all in one day. That perspective shapes how I show up: support that is warm, practical, and genuinely achievable inside the real life you're already living.

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology at The University of Queensland in 2008 and later went on to complete a Master’s in Health Management. I stay up to date with latest evidence, and strive to deliver the best care to you and your child.

Bring me your hardest mealtimes, your half-formed worries, the questions you've been turning over at 2am. There's space for all of it here.

Support that feels calm, practical and tailored to
your family.
